An assortment of field recordings capturing soundscapes across the Chihuahuan Desert borderlands region, including (but not limited to) El Paso, Texas and Southern New Mexico.‍ ‍

Intended as a growing and adaptable archive of soundscapes, the content of this collection includes sounds from both natural spaces and urban locales. The format and scope of this collection may shift and expand as the project evolves. Through these field recordings, the hope is to offer visitors an aural experience and encourage others to pause and listen to their own sound environments, attuned to the sounds of our little worlds we may otherwise take for granted.

All clips recorded by Michelle E. Carreon with a Zoom H1n recorder, unless otherwise noted.
